Designed to capture the essence of Mexican music traditions, the 657ce Bajo Quinto from Taylor combines a unique tone profile with modern features. This 10-string instrument is tuned in fourths to A-D-G-C-F, with the A and D doubled in octaves and the G, C, and F in unison. It features solid Big Leaf maple back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, and Taylor's Grand Pacific body shape with V-Class bracing for a clear, resonant sound. Unique enhancements include an offset bridge pin/string ramp configuration for optimal string responsiveness. Visually inspired by classic Mexican styles, it boasts a sharp Florentine cutaway, white pearloid double pickguard, mother-of-pearl inlays, ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots, and gold mini-tuners. The Bajo Quinto also includes a Fishman Rare Earth soundhole pickup and comes in a deluxe Western Floral hardshell case.
