Taylor Gold Label 914e SB
With its premium-grade tonewoods, a golden-brown “Teardrop Sunburst” top and a suite of dazzling appointments, the Gold Label 914e SB represents the height of visual and tonal sophistication within the Gold Label Collection. Solid Honduran rosewood is paired with a torrefied Adirondack spruce top in a Super Auditorium body, yielding a deep, warm, beautifully textured voice marked by blooming overtones and a played-in sonic personality. Heavier strummers will appreciate how the Adirondack top’s extra headroom encourages them to really dig in.
Inside, fanned V-Class® bracing unlocks impressive low-end resonance and midrange richness in addition to delivering the inherent benefits of the V-Class platform: louder volume, longer sustain and remarkable pitch accuracy all the way up the neck. A revolutionary Action Control Neck™ allows players to fine-tune string height in minutes without removing the neck or strings. Its long-tenon design enhances the wood coupling between neck and body for even greater low-end depth and its slender profile ensures familiar Taylor playability.
Aesthetic touches nod to much older instruments, including grained ivoroid body binding and trim, a modified headstock with script-style mother-of-pearl peghead logo and a distinctive, engraved pickguard. An array of iridescent shell appointments is rounded out by new Continental Deluxe fretboard and peghead inlays rendered in paua and mother of pearl, a mother-of-pearl peghead logo, a single-ring paua/Honduran rosewood rosette, and paua fretboard and peghead purfling that flourishes in an ornate embellishment at the peghead’s crown. The 914ce also features a Honduran rosewood curve wing bridge, Indian rosewood bridge pins and Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners with ebony buttons. It ships with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and a deluxe hardshell case with a British Cocoa exterior.
